Please join us for a new, full-day resiliency retreat. Just like the preventative maintenance we do for our apparatus, we should do the same for ourselves as well. Join us April 15th or May 6th to learn better ways for healing with the stresses of the job and taking charge of your mental health.

April 15th and May 6th, 9am

The job we love asks a lot of us. Over time it accumulates in ways that affect us and our families. This program was designed by firefighters to fit our specific needs. Together we will explore practical strategies for regulating stress, recovering well between shifts, and sustaining a long and healthy career in the fire service.

The workshop introduces a four-phase framework for the firefighter career lifecycle: early career, mid-career, senior members, and retirement transition. Each stage brings different physical, professional, and personal challenges.

We begin with a short morning session at Yale Valley Library introducing the framework and practical recovery tools. From there we head to Mount St. Helens to step back from the pace of the job and look at the long view of a career in the fire service.

All registrants will receive a short pre-workshop survey to help guide the discussion and keep the program focused on resilience skills and career development.
